Blue Flower Woman

Blue Flower Woman Original Print for Sale by Artist Stevyn Llewellyn

Blue Flower Woman original gilcee print for sale. This was created with abstract watercolor painting, which was scanned into the computer. The line work was then done in adobe illustrator and the image was finalized in photoshop. The figurative element as well as patterning on the apparel reference both my personal and professional work designing textiles. Click on the image above to purchase or follow the link here.

New Artwork – Watercolor Blue Series

blueI’ve been busy working a a capsule series of figurative pieces based off of one of my abstract watercolor paintings, which I left outside in the rain to achieve  the spontaneous texture. I then scanned it the painting, and used one of my vector drawings to create the final work digitally. This weds both traditional and digital media for a clean image, with references to the female form and my textile design background.

It is now for sale here as an archival gilcee print, and apparel.

Above are some new approaches to exemplify the female figure in lines and focused areas of color, primarily a single blue hue and utilizing the negative space to create the composition. I am planning on exploring this side of representational imagery and attempting to achieve balance in a more simplistic way. I am envisioning these pieces more refined and created with bright automotive paint on large metal canvases. For now, they will exist on paper.

These were created with a Wacom  pressure sensitive pen on an Asus ep 121 in Adobe illustrator CS 6.
