Beautiful and demure woman artwork. The method for creating this was to utilize a hand-made watercolor paintings, then scan it in, then add and the line work digitally. Second, was to remove the lines, then reveal the organic, free elements of paint below. This combines both traditional and digital media in order to achieve a contemporary look. This is part of a watercolor blue series, focusing on figurative elements and reducing the imagery down to shapes and lines. It is a continual process of reduction, to evoke simplicity with form and color. This art is now available for sale exclusively at society 6 here.

I’ve been busy working a a capsule series of figurative pieces based off of one of my abstract watercolor paintings, which I left outside in the rain to achieve the spontaneous texture. I then scanned it the painting, and used one of my vector drawings to create the final work digitally. This weds both traditional and digital media for a clean image, with references to the female form and my textile design background.
It is now for sale here as an archival gilcee print, and apparel.
